Focus On Under-Resourced Communities

The problem area we plan to address is under-resourced communities that are prevalent throughout the USA.  According to research conducted by the Economic Innovation Group (EIG), over 50 million Americans or approximately 15 percent of the population of the USA live in distressed communities - places struggling to attract capital and sustaining economic opportunities for its residents.

The size of this problem can also be viewed by the US Treasury Department approving over 8,700 low income communities designated by States as opportunity zones in 2018. What is troubling about this data is that the states only selected 25% of low income communities, so the problem areas are approximately 4 times larger.

Strategies to help under-resourced communities have been typically a combination of academic or research studies by a university or public policy organization.  The response has been some form of government intervention to create incentives for investment while prioritizing the improvement of education for youth and policing to maintain order.

CASGro will pursue a different and innovative strategy.  CASGro believes that the large problem area of under-resourced communities is an opportunity with vast potential.  CASGro will provide a grassroots oriented, capital market based strategy of action within under-resourced communities that can be a catalyst for change.  CASGro will focus on developing investment and business opportunities to spur growth and create wealth.
